Passionate about making tech more inclusive, Abadesi founded Hustle Crew. When we met Abadesi, she was working long, 12+ hour days, running all aspects of Hustle Crew alongside a full-time job.

Abadesi showed us an article about generating passive income and scale. We said: let’s do it. At this stage, Abadesi had a desire to streamline the business and improve branding and services, but not yet a concrete vision.

Today, Hustle Crew is a go-to company for DEI training. Companies vie to work with Hustle Crew for its high-quality training. Hustle Crew is a profitable business with a team of 20+ consultants delivering workshops. Abadesi still maintains a full-time role as a VP at Brandwatch and needs only interface with her team a few hours per week.

 Vision Statements

Abadesi wrote her Vision Statements, encouraged to think beyond current circumstances. It included wants such as ‘Be the go-to company for consulting on inclusion in tech’ ‘Optimise/minimise Abadesi’s time.’

We then formalised these, listing out independent wants separately without overlap.

 
 
 

Systems Analysis & Recommendations

We formalised and analysed business flows. We produced a set of recommendations to streamline operations and minimise Abadesi’s time. Further, we provided general business recommendations relevant to scaling.

 

Go Digital to Scale

We (i) improved brand and narrative, (ii) strategically positioned their services, (iii) installed an online checkout, (iv) opted to sell online workshops via Zoom (v) standardised systems. These altogether allowed Hustle Crew to scale, minimise time in sales and operations, increase sales, and sell globally.

We created roles for remaining tasks for the new Hustle Crew team, after improving, systemising, eliminating and automating as much as possible.

We created a metrics scoreboard, encouraging Hustle Crew to reflect on true measures of success. This allows Hustle Crew to see how they are performing at a glance, keeping team members on track. The scoreboard pulls in data from various APIs including Squarespace, Mailchimp, Zoom, FreeAgent, and Airtable.
